The insurer, Unum Life Insurance Company of America, had previously denied the client’s claim for long-term disability benefits.
The client retained HRBK to prosecute her appeal of the denial of long-term disability benefits and represent her in litigation if necessary. In response to HRBK’s appeal, Unum reversed its denial of benefits without a need for litigation.
